From the desk of Art W2ALW:

please look into the possibility of adding a repeater using a uhf beam antenna in the system—-I have the tower and a beam on a rotator + my omni uhf on top that I use locally–thinking of expanding our dmr on Gil’s system using a beam
to where we may want it——-in theory——-I may have my own funding for this soon. Art

Apparently the latest firmware 2.030 has its first offical “BUG” and has been noted by others. The BUG appeared in my MD-280 this morning.

    From Paul KJ6LDG
I’ve only had my radio a few days, and installed FW 1.30 & CPS 2.030 as soon as I got it.
I’ve found that the battery level indicator shows a full charge regardless of the actual battery charge state.
My radio died on me due to a dead battery yesterday, yet the battery indicator showed full the entire time.
Is anybody else experiencing this issue?
I’m hoping it’s a software issue that can be fixed in a future update.
    73,
    Paul KJ6LDG
