The FCC Information Technology staff is investigating why their batch processing system stopped processing exam sessions and applications. As of July 6th, 2016, 900 applications and 275 exam sessions are in the queue waiting to be processed. This may delay the issuance of new licenses and/or upgrades. The FCC is confident that, once the problem has been resolved, the backlog can be processed within a day. However, they do not yet know what the exact problem is. The FCC has escalated finding and resolving the problem to a Level 1 priority.
